EVERY state has the right to secede

What Texas governor Rick Perry said was phenomenal, and I applaud him for striking fear into the hearts of the power-bloated, tyrannical Federal Government, but it should be noted that, since there is nothing in the Constitution prohibiting states from seceding, the 10th amendment automatically grants that right by default. Therefore all states have the right to secede from the Union at any time, for any reason - or for no reason - and there is nothing the Federal Government can do, at least within the framework of the Constitution, to stop them.

This of course throws into question the legitimacy of Lincoln's war of aggression against the Confederacy, but that's a whole different discussion.
