Food Toxins and How They're Killing Us

Note: This is an abbreviated version of a previous article I wrote on food and water toxins that make us fat, stupid, sick and weak. In its abbreviated form, it focuses more on the who, what and where and less on the why, which may seem overwhelming to a lot of people. More important that they understand what is killing us and making us sick than why it's in our food. If you want the answer to that question, see here for the full article.

The amount of toxins we likely ingest on a daily basis is staggering. Their harmful effects are known to the establishment, yet not only are we not adequately warned about them, we are told they are safe. There are actually laws that allow food producers to add chemicals to our food - upwards of 17,000 of them - without telling us, because these additives are toxic and, were we to know they were in our food, it would affect the corporation's bottom line. Since they are not required to tell us what these additives are, I can only speak to what is known for fact. Without even scratching the surface, these are the worst, and their effects on the human mind and body.

Fluoride

Fluoride is by far the most pervasive toxin we are exposed to on a daily basis. A 2001 report from Scientific American stated that it is literally impossible to avoid overexposure to fluoride. Two-thirds of American municipalities dump it in their water, and thus, even if you do not drink tap water, or your water is not fluoridated, you can expect to find fluoride in your soda, beer, juice, sports drinks, vitamins, cold and flu medications, and pretty much any food product that is made with or contains water. This is to say nothing of our toothpastes and mouthwash.
"In the 1930's, Hitler and the German Nazis envisioned a world to be dominated and controlled by the Nazi philosophy of pan-Germanism. The German chemists worked out a very ingenious and far-reaching plan of mass control, which was submitted to, and adopted by, the German General Staff. This plan was to control the population in any given area through mass medication of drinking water supplies. By this method they could control the population in whole areas, reduce population by water medication that would induce sterility in women and so on. In this scheme of mass control sodium fluoride occupied a prominent place.

Repeated doses of infinitesimal amounts of fluoride will in time reduce an individual’s power to resist domination, by slowly poisoning and narcotizing a certain area of the brain, thus making him submissive to the will of those who wish to govern him. [A convenient light lobotomy]

The real reason behind water fluoridation is not to benefit children’s teeth. If this were the real reason there are many ways in which it could be done that are much easier, cheaper, and far more effective. The real purpose behind water fluoridation is to reduce the resistance of the masses to domination and control and loss of liberty. - Charles Perkins

Fluoridated water was first used in Hitler's death camps, because it lowers IQ and makes you docile and placid; relaxed. For this reason sodium fluoride is also found in Prozac. Given that the global power elite, many of whom are "Americans" (Rockefeller, Gates, Bush, Cold Spring Harbor, etc.), is married to the eugenics movement, and considering their cooperation and support of Hitler, it cannot be said that this was unknown to them when they decided to start fluoridating the water in America, or that their intent was not the same as Hitler's.

Sodium fluoride is a toxic industrial waste product from phosphate fertilizer, aluminum, and nuclear weapons manufacturing, among others. It is so toxic that it is illegal to dump in rivers or streams. Read this as many times as you deem necessary, before it registers in your brain; break through the programming and see it for what it is: THEY ARE DUMPING TOXIC WASTE INTO OUR WATER. Sodium fluoride is often the active toxin in rat poison and insecticides. And you're drinking it. More on your doctor and dentist later.

High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS)

Fat has 250 times more calories than sugar, yet even with this nutritional disadvantage, high fructose corn syrup is the number one source of calories in the United States. Fructose is much more readily metabolized to fat in the liver than glucose, and in the process can lead to nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). NAFLD in turn leads to hepatic insulin resistance and type II diabetes. It increases your triglyceride and bad cholesterol (LDL) levels, whereas glucose does not. It harms the way primary organs like the liver and pancreas function, leading to bone loss, anemia and heart problems, just to name a few. And it has recently been discovered that HFCS is contaminated with mercury, which is as you know a violent neurotoxin.

The HFCS industry cites studies that claim it's no different than sugar, but all of these studies were funded by groups with a financial stake in HFCS - such as Pepsi. Like fluoride, HFCS is extremely prevalent in foods and beverages. It's found in soda, juice, breads, yogurt, frozen foods, salad dressings, ketchup, spaghetti sauce, and many other products. In fact by the time you're finished reading this, you may come to the same conclusion that I have: don't eat anything processed. But if you're not at that point yet, keep reading.

Monosodium glutamate (MSG)

MSG, or Monosodium Glutamate is an excitotoxin - a substance that over-excites brain cells to the point of damage and death. It is worse than alcohol, worse than nicotine, and worse than most illegal drugs.

MSG is toxic particularly in children whose blood-brain barrier have not yet fully developed; they are four times as sensitive to MSG as adults. This is disturbing considering MSG is found in most baby formulas. More on this in a moment.

In rats, MSG caused them to crave sugars and simple carbohydrates over protein-rich foods. This is because the pancreas is stimulated to produce insulin, which explains MSG's association with obesity and type 2 diabetes, regardless of caloric intake or activity. It causes retinal damage, insomnia, heart disease, and high blood pressure. It can cause arrhythmia and cardio artery spasm, leading to sudden cardiac arrest. In cancer, MSG dramatically promotes growth and metastasis. It causes cancer cells to become mobile, spreading more quickly from one part of the body to another. In the elderly, whose blood-brain barrier is weakened, the cumulative effects of MSG act as a "slow neurotoxin," not resulting in observable damage such as dementia immediately but only after long periods of exposure. There is practically no system of the body that is not damaged by MSG.

MSG is found in nearly any processed food, even those that don't specifically list MSG as an ingredient and claim to be natural. Some foods such as seaweed or tomatoes have complex amino acid groupings, which are bound (as opposed to free). When these groupings are autolyzed or hydrolyzed, the amino acids - glutamates - are released in an unnatural way, enhancing the flavor the same way MSG does, with the same toxic effects. Like the 17,000 chemicals food manufacturers can add without telling you to protect their bottom line, these are some of the dirty little tricks they play to keep you from knowing you're eating unnatural MSG. There are literally dozens of food additives that contain MSG, such as broth, casein, anything hydrolyzed or autolyzed, and many others. Soybean extracts are loaded with glutamate, in many cases higher than pure MSG; people who consume large amounts of soy products have high incidences of dementia and brain atrophy. All soy products should be avoided as if they were poison - they are.

Particularly in baby formula, unsuspecting parents will choose a brand believing there to be no MSG, as it is not listed on the label, not realizing that caseinate or hydrolyzed protein broth are really MSG; physiologically these children could be abnormal for the rest of their lives.

Aspartame

Of all the poisons the eugenicists have foisted onto the American people, only sodium fluoride tops aspartame (NutraSweet, Equal) in terms of pure evil. And I say this only because of sodium fluoride's Nazi history and the fact that it's a toxic industrial waste product that is too toxic to be dumped in rivers and streams, yet we have been fooled into accepting it's healthy to dump it in our drinking water. The story of how aspartame became a staple of the American diet is a long and disturbing one.

Aspartame, also an excitotoxin and an rDNA derivative, is made from two amino acids - L-phenylalanine, L-aspartic acid - and methanol. The amino acid content in aspartame allows for mouthpieces for this poison to call it "healthy" or "natural", ignoring the methanol found in it and what it does to the body when ingested.

But once upon a time, for eight years, aspartame was banned by the FDA. This would seem natural, having at the time only recently been found on a Pentagon list of biochemical warfare agents submitted to Congress. Take a moment to ingest that: aspartame is a biochemical warfare agent.

Aspartame saw a new day in the FDA court in the early 70's, but G.D. Searle, the company that produces it, faced serious ethical questions in its methodology and data used to prove its safety. The 1974 FDA task force set up to examine aspartame and G.D. Searle reported "serious deficiencies in Searle's operations and practices, which undermine the basis for reliance on Searle's integrity in conducting high quality animal research to accurately determine the toxic potential of its products." They concluded with the recommendation that G.D. Searle should face a Grand Jury "to identify more particularly the nature of the violations, and to identify all those responsible.

The final 1976 report noted serious and criminal misrepresentation and suppression of data in G.D. Searle's research. Desperate to suppress this information, G.D. Searle appointed Nixon and Ford administration operative Donald Rumsfeld its chairman. The FDA requested that U.S. Attorney Samuel Skinner investigate Searle's aspartame testing procedures. Skinner was the federal prosecutor responsible for convincing the Grand Jury to investigate Searle's criminal and fraudulent research. Skinner met with Searle attorneys at the Chicago law firm of Sidley & Austin. Suddenly, newly elected President Carter announced that Skinner would not remain in office, and Skinner thereafter announced that he would be hired by Sidley & Austin. The case was taken over by US Attorney William Conlon, who blatantly dragged his feet in prosecuting Searle. Failing in his duties, Conlon also joined Searle's law firm. The fix was in.

In 1981, Rumsfeld's boy at the FDA, Commissioner Arthur Hayes, approved the initial use of aspartame in dry foods and as a tabletop sweetener. Disregarded as anecdotal were the public's concerns, as well as 3 FDA scientists, regarding brain tumors, which every scientific study not funded by Searle showed were prevalent in long term aspartame exposure. Naturally, after resigning from the FDA Hayes under a cloud of conflicts of interest, was hired as senior medical consultant for the public relations firm retained by Searle.

After aspartame was approved for soft drinks in 1983, complaints of side effects poured in - headaches, dizziness, vomiting, nausea, blurred vision, seizures, convulsions, and more. Long-term aspartame ingestion can disturb the metabolism of amino acids, protein structure and metabolism, the integrity of nucleic acids, neuron function, and endocrine balances. The breakdown of aspartame causes nerves to fire excessively, which can indirectly lead to a high rate of neuron depolarization.

The harmful effects of aspartame are practically endless. When you ingest aspartame, it breaks down into its two constituent amino acids, and methanol.

Aspartame is 40% aspartic acid. When aspartic acid is consumed, it significantly raises the level of aspartate in your blood, which over-excites neurotransmitters in the brain, destroying neurons. Again, this is what is referred to by Dr Blaylock as excitotoxicity.

Aspartame is 50% phenylalanine. Excessive levels of this amino acid can decease serotonin levels in the brain, leading to depression. Again, the aspartame lobby would have you believe that the presence of amino acids in aspartame makes it natural and healthy, however, as we've seen, monosodium glutamate is also an amino acid; this has nothing to do with it being natural or healthy. It is neither.

The remaining 10% of aspartame is methanol, or wood alcohol. Not only is methanol poisonous by itself, when ingested it further breaks down into formaldehyde, a deadly neurotoxic carcinogen. Formaldehyde is embalming fluid. Methanol poisoning can cause visual impairment, including blindness; headaches, ear buzzing, and dizziness; nausea and gastrointestinal disturbances; weakness, numbness and shooting pains in the extremities; behavioral disturbances and memory lapses. Formaldehyde further breaks down into formic acid, which is also toxic and commonly used as an activator to strip epoxy and urethane coatings. Delicious!

Aspartame causes, mimics, or worsens the conditions of the following diseases:

  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Parkinson's Disease
  • Alzheimer's
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Arthritis
  • Multiple chemical sensitivity
  • Chronic fatigue syndrome
  • Attention deficit disorder
  • Panic disorder
  • Depression and other psychological disorders
  • Lupus
  • Diabetes and diabetic complications
  • Birth defects
  • Lymphoma
  • Lyme's Disease
  • Hypothyroidism

Aspartame, like MSG, is linked to obesity and diabetes, because it creates a craving for simple carbohydrates.

Dr Russell Blaylock, a leader in aspartame and MSG research who coined the term "excitotoxin", cites an Italian study in which animals were fed aspartame throughout their entire lives, and were studied until they died natural deaths. They found a dramatic increase in related cancers of lymphoma and leukemia, as well as several histological lymphomas of the brain. He continues:

When you look it up in the neurosurgical literature, there is a rather significant rise in the incidents of what used to be a rare tumor. We're seeing a lot more of the primary lymphoma of the brain, which is a little different than lymphomas you see elsewhere. When you look back at the original studies done by the G.D. Searle company, they found lymphomas as well as primary brain tumors and tumors of multiple organs. All of this correlation shows that we've got a powerful carcinogenic substance here. It is either acting as a co-carcinogen or a primary carcinogen. Most likely, it's the formaldehyde breakdown product.

What the Italian study found is that if you take these same animals and expose them to formaldehyde in the same doses, they developed the same leukemias and lymphomas. If you look back at the Troker Study conducted in Spain a couple of years ago, what they found was when they radiolabeled the aspartame, they could actually see formaldehyde binding to the DNA, and it produced both single and double strand DNA breakage.

We know that when formaldehyde binds to DNA, it's very difficult to remove it. It will stay there for long periods of time. What that means is if you just drink a single diet cola today, or sweeten something with NutraSweet, you're accumulating damage every day. Eventually, you're going to produce this necessary pattern of DNA damage to initiate the cancer, and once you develop the cancer, the aspartic acid component of aspartame will make the cancer grow very rapidly. You've got a double effect; it's causing the cancer, and it's making the cancer move very rapidly.

These were swept under the rug by the government, which blatantly and overtly lied and vouched for its safety. The FDA, true to its corporate shill form, declared that "no evidence has been found to establish that aspartame's methanol by-product reaches toxic levels." This of course is a lie, since, according to a Medical World News report in 1978, the methanol content of aspartame is 1,000 times greater than most foods under FDA control. Today aspartame is found in over 4,000 products worldwide and is consumed by over 200 million people in the United States alone.

Corporatism (Fascism) in Our Health Ministries

Benito Mussolini once said, "Fascism should more appropriately be called Corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power." Specifically, it is the control of the State by the corporation (whereas socialism is the reverse: the control of the corporation by the State). And this is what we see today in our government - for the purposes of this essay, the pharmaceutical, chemical, and agricultural mega-corporations (some corporations transcend all three) have usurped control of our health ministries, so that they are entrusted with watching over themselves. Obviously they will be looking out for their own bottom line, not the health and safety of the American people.

Some would say its hyper-cynical to say that corporations only look out for their own profits at the expense of the consumer. In a free market we would not have to worry about this, because independent studies on the safety of these products would show them to be harmful, and no one would buy them, forcing these corporations to either produce healthier products or go out of business. But when the FDA is staffed by lobbyists for, say, Monsanto, Monsanto doesn't have to worry about the safety of its genetically modified foods or its Roundup product these foods are designed to be sprayed with because the lobbyists for Monsanto working within the FDA will give themselves the FDA seal of approval. Who watches the watchmen? The watchmen.

Examine who funds such medical journals as the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition or College Nutrition, or major studies on food safety. Corporations like Bayer and Monsanto. Con Agra. Kraft. All major corporations responsible for infesting our foods with the toxins making us fat, sick, stupid and weak. You also see pharmaceutical giants like GlaxoSmithKline; I can imagine nothing that would please a pharmaceutical corporation more than widespread chronic illness. In fact, the pharmaceutical industry benefits greatly from the harmful additives in our food, and plays a major roll in facilitating their approval, use, and protection.

The US government and Monsanto has had a revolving door between its employees for decades. President Obama recently appointed former Monsanto lobbyist Michael Taylor as a senior adviser to the Food and Drug Administration Commissioner on food safety. Ann Veneman was on the Board of Directors of Monsanto's Calgene Corporation before becoming Secretary of Agriculture under George W Bush. Bush also appointed Monsanto executive Linda Fisher as deputy director of the EPA; Fisher worked for the EPA before becoming an executive at Monsanto. Revolving door. Former acting commissioner of the FDA under Clinton Michael Friedman became senior vice president for clinical affairs at G.D. Searle. William D. Ruckelshaus was the first commissioner of the EPA under Nixon, and spent 12 years on Monsanto's board of directors. Mickey Kantor served on Monsanto's board of directors before being tapped as Bill Clinton's Commerce Secretary. Clarence Thomas, Supreme Court Justice, is a former Monsanto lawyer presiding over a case that would completely deregulate Monsanto's GM seeds and allow them to contaminate the entire country. How will he rule? We'll see. Thomas certainly does not see what is clearly a conflict of interest. And, as discussed earlier, there is Rumsfeld, Conlon, and Skinner's scandalous connections to GD Searle and aspartame.

A Stacked Deck

Presented in this report is a two-fold threat to all of our health and well-being. First of course is the toxic and harmful products most Americans feed themselves and their children on a daily basis. This, along with vaccines, has a cumulative dumbing down effect; not only an erosion of the mind, but an erosion of the body. We are, collectively and in a compounding manner, becoming ever more stupid, fat, lazy and weak. Not only is this profitable to those who benefit from this - the food manufacturers who make more money as Americans become addicted to and eat more of their food, as well as the pharma giants who benefit from an engineered crisis of chronic illness - it is beneficial to those in power who wish to expand the size and scope of their power completely, totally, and utterly.

Second is the cover of protection these products receive from health and safety regulatory arms of government most Americans falsely believe are looking out for them. This makes it ever more difficult for even people like myself and those who are aware of the poison that passes for food, because not only does it severely restrict the choices we have in what we can eat, since harmful products are found in nearly all foods, including fresh produce, which could be genetically modified for all we know (the FDA says we do not have the right to know), but we cannot trust what is "certified" as organic, since the same regulatory arms of government responsible for such labeling are controlled by the same people who have driven many of us to eat organic in the first place.

What can be done? Unfortunately our choices are limited. As long as the masses believe and trust the State to be their lord and savior, it will be difficult to tear away the tentacles these corporations have around our government and our entire lives. We can educate people to these truths, but, speaking from experience, we can expect one of two reactions: either they will not want to know how harmful their food is, because they enjoy it too much. Most people have an intuition that what they're eating is killing them, or shortening their life (is there a difference?), but as long as they can pretend they don't really know what food is doing what to their body, they can be blissful in their ignorance. Or, they will dismiss your warnings as quackery, conspiracy theory kookiness, or the like. Part of the indoctrination we receive from birth is that, as Madeline Albright so aptly put it, "We are America; we are the indispensable nation." America doesn't poison or murder its own citizens; that's what other countries do. Our leaders may be liars or crooks, but there's a line they simply would never cross. Because they're Americans. The air here is different; or maybe there's something different about the soil or the water. Or, of course, we are simply sanctioned by the Creator. Rest easy. Your government is keeping you safe. This is the ultimate threat of a fascist government and economy: again, the watchmen are the ones watching the watchmen. There is no oversight; it's a corporate free-for-all.

So we must vote with our wallets and pocketbooks; we must, whenever possible, spend the extra money to buy real food. And, if possible, we must put forth the extra effort to grow our own food, from our own seeds, in our own soil, harvested by our own hands. That is the only way you'll ever know for sure your food is safe. That's the only way to keep yourself strong and healthy, to keep your mind sharp and clear. It is simultaneously one of your strongest weapons and best line of defense against the elite and their eugenics cult.

Stay healthy. Stay awake. Stay free.

Noise

Probably the most frightening words the fledgling truth seeker can ever encounter on his or her journey to consciousness is controlled opposition. Just when you think you’re on your way to uncovering the secrets of reality, the world, and the universe, sooner or later, if you surf the ether long enough, and especially if you, in your narcissism, invite enough people on your Facebook page, you’re going to run into people who will, if you let them, lead you to believe that nothing is real, not even the truth. This person or that is really an Israeli agent; this group or that is really a New World Order front. There’s not a person or group out there, from Alex Jones to David Icke to Peter Joseph (Zeitgeist) who hasn’t been so accused.

Sooner or later one has to silence the noise of doubt and realize that we are intelligent human beings, and are capable of deciphering the overwhelming amount of new information we encounter, in due time, deprogramming ourselves in our own personal way. At some point, if we are to continue to evolve, we must first understand that consciousness is a journey, not a destination, that the nature of reality is far too complex for our feeble minds and five senses to ever fully comprehend, and that what is most important for us to understand is what we should do with whatever information, whatever truth we feel we’ve uncovered.

We see things not as they are, but as we are. – John Milton

Reality is subjective to the observer. What’s true for me won’t be true for you. Not entirely. We all have our own journeys, which mold our personality and ego. The ego in us loves to know more, know better, than others, and cannot accept alternative points of view, even though we often find ourselves battling with people who hate us for our points of view (our lack of patriotism, et al). The ego has no apparent sense of irony, nor shame for its blatant hypocrisy. Your ego would love for you to grasp tightly to some seemingly profound truth, and occupy your mind obsessing over beating people to death with it until they submit to it. In this, you inevitably bump heads with other people’s ego; an irresistible force meeting an immovable object.

The point to this is not to get carried away and distracted by whatever truth you may find, however profound it may seem to you. Understand that no matter what and how much you think you know, in the grand scheme of things you know nothing. This is not something to be discouraged about. It simply means that no matter how much you discover, there will always be more to discover. What can be disheartening about that? How boring would total omniscience be?

The teacher who is indeed wise does not bid you to enter the house of his wisdom but rather leads you to the threshold of your mind. – Kahlil Gibran

We all have our own journeys, our own sufferings to overcome. We do no one a service fighting over whose understanding of reality is superior to the other. Information is value neutral; if it’s a lie, no one could – or at least no one should – tell you it’s a lie. If you think you know, and someone wants to know, they’ll ask; if we throw it in their face they will shut you out and hear nothing, and only your own ego will find satisfaction. If approached we should not demand they see things the way we do, but rather encourage them to abandon preconceived notions about the way one is supposed to think, or how others may think of them if they don’t conform to what the mob’s delicate sensibilities expect them to think, and just look at the facts with an open mind. If the true nature of reality were as obvious as we make it seem to be, would anyone need you to point it out to them?

Once you get the message, put the phone down. No matter how deep into the rabbit hole you think you’ve gone, it always goes deeper. Ask yourself if what you obsess over is really worth obsessing over, in the grand scheme of things. Does the true story behind Bin Laden’s death, for example, mean anything if the elite are about to crush the economy and plunge us all into a second Great Depression, far more catastrophic than the first? Have you ever stopped to think that, while the elite would prefer you buy their insultingly stupid stories hook, line and sinker like most people do, they still exert a great deal of control over you by directing your energies away from real issues you actually have control over – your own self-sufficiency, your own survival, your physical, mental, and spiritual health, to name some examples? The food supply is horrifically and terminally toxic. The global economy is going to collapse, so that even the garbage they call food won’t be available to you. Donald Trump is running for president. He wants to see Obama’s birth certificate! Anthony Weiner took pictures of his penis and sent them out to other women, and his wife is pregnant! Bin Laden had porn in his “compound”. Which makes the headlines?

Control is illusory. There is nothing more laughable than to think the global elite are meeting in Switzerland, and our future as a species is in their hands. They only have power because we give it to them. Don’t give it to them. Don’t recognize their authority. Don’t even humor them for a minute. Your power is only theirs by your willful consent. The belief that you can take that power back from them is a form of control – it implies the power belongs to them in the first place. It doesn't. Never did, never will. Take a breath. You control your future. You are your own person. Believe that you are free, act like you are free, and you will be free. Everything else is noise.

Fear

Of all the many layers of control in this onion of scientific fascism we live in, one of the most effective methods used is learned helplessness. It is the umbrella that all other facets of control rest under. When the control grid breaks down, when reality becomes too overwhelming for even the most unconscious subject to ignore, when the plebs would otherwise take to riot and violence, there is always the final safeguard of learned helplessness. This can be summed up as both the recognition of the way things are, yet surrendering to the idea that there’s nothing you can do about it anyway.

For this reason, many people become angry and animated at people like me for trying to warn them of what’s happening, what’s about to happen. They have a feeling things are about to get bad, or are already bad, but feel there’s nothing they can do to stop it so they just pretend it doesn’t exist, and excoriate anyone who reminds them. And who can blame them? What is coming will be nothing short of barbaric, with any number of factors playing out scenarios that include money becoming so worthless you cannot afford the food on the shelves, to there not being any food on the shelves even if you could afford it. Depending on the policies enacted by the government, the sky’s the limit. What we know is that there is an open, stated agenda to annihilate national sovereignty through economic devastation as a segue to global government and a one world currency under control of the banking and scientific elite.

"For more than a century ideological extremists at either end of the political spectrum have seized upon well-publicized incidents such as my encounter with Castro to attack the Rockefeller family for the inordinate influence they claim we wield over American political and economic institutions. Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as 'internationalists' and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure--one world, if you will. If that's the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it. – David Rockefeller, Memoirs, pps 405 – 406

It is difficult for someone like me to resist the urge to belittle and cast scorn upon people who, when faced with a potentially life threatening situation, throw their hands at it and head to the bar to get hammered. Or bury their minds in the television, worrying about who will come out on top in their favorite reality (sic) TV show, as opposed to solving the problems that they will be forced to face should the economy continue to deteriorate. I must constantly remind myself that learned helplessness is carefully engineered in these people, over the course of many decades, so that they either give up in life threatening situations, their survival instincts psychologically eradicated from their minds, or they proxy out such responsibilities to others they are taught are smarter and more important than they are.

Having been shoved through the same meatgrinder as everyone else, I don’t know why my survival instincts remain in tact while that of the majority does not. There was something about the crash of ’08 and my ignorance of its causes that drove me to learn about what was going on, and, rather than give in to the seeming helplessness of the situation upon learning how bad it really was, spend the last 3 years preparing for the day when the grid we are all slaves to could no longer support me. One factor surely was the knowledge that this collapse is engineered, by design, to foment a new system of global governance. With this knowledge there’s no point hoping things will return to “normal”, no point looking to smarter and more important people to fix things. The people we look to to fix the crisis are the same criminals who are causing it. Only in this insane world do we look to the arsonist to put out the fire!

It would seem to me that, upon realization and acceptance that, at least under the current paradigm, things are not going to get better, ever, and that no one is going to come to my aid and defense as the situation continues to deteriorate, the solution to this problem becomes self-evident – that is, if you value your life above your possessions and your social standing, which is completely fake and superficial in the first place. What do you need in order to continue to breathe, for your heart to continue beating? Irrespective of your shallow and imbecilic belief that you would die without your television, all you need in order to survive is food, water, shelter and protection. That you think life reduced to such simplicity would be too mundane to bear is a product of their programming: that you need an iPod or a flat-screen TV or the hottest car in order to be fulfilled.

There are millions of Americans who have none of these, who live in abundance and joy, not to mention pride, in procuring all of life’s necessities by their own hand and sweat. Nature is their television; the wildlife in their yard is the cast in their favorite reality show. Many of these people once lived in an urban environment and, for any number of reasons, took a leap of faith and moved to a rural area and stuck a cutting spade into the soil and started from scratch. Myself being one of them. There is really no excuse for not cutting the chord from the control grid you’ve been leaching off of your whole life, no excuse except addiction to luxury, also known as sloth. For most, becoming self-sufficient is not an option, because helplessness and dependency is a part of who they are. Freedom is alien to them.

What point now in trying to warn these people of the inevitable, unstoppable economic apocalypse we find ourselves on the verge of? I suppose there is the hope, against hope, that I might strike a nerve in someone – anyone – who will find the spark inside of them to take responsibility for their lives, to take back control, to turn off their TV and surgically remove their ass from their couch. If the words in this essay reach the eyes of one still plugged in, who, while enjoying the comforts of modern living would rather turn his or her back on it and live rather than cling to it and die, consider:

    Food

The price of food has risen drastically in recent years and, due mostly to the Fed's destructive monetary policies, coupled with natural disasters that have depleted our already taxed industrial food supply, will not stop rising for the foreseeable future. How long before prices rise beyond your ability to afford them? This is inevitable because it's the agenda, and they have at their disposal the tools - namely the printing press - to assure its fulfillment.

Food is actually secondary to clean drinking water in terms of survival, if only because you’d die without water much quicker than you would without food, but nevertheless you need both. First and foremost you’ll need a store of food to eat while you prepare your garden and await the harvest. To this end, a six-month supply for everyone in your household is minimal, although since chances are you know nothing about growing food, you’ll probably want more as you cultivate experience and hone skills through trial and error in the field. Probably the cheapest and highest quality food I’ve seen that’s not laced with toxic additives and genetically modified “foods” is eFoods Global or eFoods Direct. They are GMO and MSG-free, and require only water for basic preparation. They’re also pretty decent tasting.

As far as your garden, assuming your capital limits you to the most basic fundamentals of gardening tools, you will need a quality cutting spade, a garden fork, a hoe and a garden rake. You will also need a composting bin(s) but these can be made for little or no money using recycled materials; sites such as Mother Earth News are good for DIY projects like this. Growing food is more about soil cultivation than plant cultivation; properly cultivate the soil and the plants take care of the rest. Composting is an integral part of this process, especially as your harvests deplete the soil of nutrients. Consider also a worm compost: worms eat almost all plant wastes and their castings are second-to-none in soil nutrients.

Your seeds should be non-GMO and organic, so stay away from large industrial seed producers like Burpee; the USDA’s standards on what is “organic” is flawed and corrupt. Some of the brands I’ve come to trust are Stokes Seeds and Seeds of Change. You should choose crops that are easy to grow and high in nutrient value. Corn is delicious but severely lacks nutrition and devastates the soil it’s grown in, requiring more effort on your part to rejuvenate it for the next season. Personally my garden includes zucchini, mixed lettuces, tomatoes, carrots, black beans, cucumbers, broccoli, celery, kale, rainbow chard, cilantro, basil, green onions, and muskmelon (cantaloupe). Next year’s garden will be far more diverse. As my skills and knowledge expand, so will the size and diversity of my garden, with the ultimate goal of never buying produce from the store again (the time for that is running out anyway).

    Water

Even pure, natural sources of water will contain pathogens that will make you sick if you drink it. You should never drink untreated water. For the time being, we still have running water. This water is polluted with toxic additives like chlorine and fluoride and should never be drunk without further filtration on your part. I personally have a Berkey water filter system. It claims to be able to filter stagnant pond water, not to mention fluoride, although I would personally boil such water before putting it through a filter, just in case. You should also learn how to build and use a solar still, an essential skill for the day when your Berkey has filtered its last gallon of water.

    Protection

In the post-collapse world, with such a large percentage of the population completely unprepared, in their desperation they will prey upon the small minority of people who have the means to feed and hydrate themselves. It will be an unfortunate situation, forcing us to defend ourselves and our property against those who, while having only themselves to blame, are only desperate to survive. Nonetheless if you do not have enough to let people just come and take what you have, you will need to protect yourself. Do your own research on what type of home defense weapon(s) you need, and then make sure you have plenty of ammo. Finally, learn how to use and service your weapon properly and safely.

    Off-grid Energy

If you have capital left over after stocking your house with food and making preparations to cultivate a garden, and have adequate defense for yourself, your family, and your property, you will want to procure an alternative energy source so your basic power needs will be met in the very likely event that you lose access to power, for whatever reason, in the near future. I picked up a 45-watt solar panel kit and a 2000-watt converter from Harbor Freight, which ran me about $320. Eventually I will daisy chain the whole system up to a marine battery, and make improvements as needed so I can at least power my refrigerator. This little contraption is relatively small and very portable.

Consider a worst case scenario: You have lost your job. Food prices have gotten so bad you’ve been forced to make a choice between eating and paying your mortgage. You choose to eat. The bank sends a SWAT team to your house to evict you. You have no friends or family willing or able to help you. The city streets are already flooded with people begging others to help them, but there are fewer and fewer people able or willing to. Homeless shelters have been put out of business by the overwhelming number of people in need added to the skyrocketing costs of food and energy. Do you just wander around with your hands outstretched crying about the woe and depravity your life has turned into?

Learned helplessness says yes, that is what you would do, so don’t consider the possibility, and, in order to make yourself feel even better about your complete helplessness and dependency, laugh at and ridicule anyone who takes such very real possibilities seriously and makes preparations to protect themselves from them. This has become the social norm these days, conformity to self-destructiveness. Keepin it real. All we need is a good time. The good life. It’s all fake. Its fakeness will be made manifest in short order, and if it’s all your life consists of, all that will be left for you is suffering.

Ignorance may indeed be bliss, but on the other hand, there is something far more real, more serene, in knowing. If you’re aware, you can prepare. If you’re prepared, there is nothing to fear. Some people accuse me of cheerleading the end of the world as we know it, looking forward to the day when the economy collapses and the gates of hell are flung open. I suppose I can say I am guilty. But only because I know that not only does what they are doing make such an outcome inevitable, whether it’s purposeful or not, I know it is in fact purposeful, and thus the chances of the old world surviving are absolute zero. The old paradigm has almost completely faded away and it’s time for us who are ready to move into the new paradigm and leave those clinging to the old behind, painful as it will be. Do I delight in this? Yes and no. Yes for myself, because I will be fulfilled (not to mention alive), and my life will have real meaning and purpose. I will be healthy in body, mind, and spirit. Those who will not survive, I will mourn. I mourn them already. But it’s coming whether we wish for it or not, so I say let’s get it over with. No fear.

Bread and Circus

It is often said that old habits die hard. If you take a moment to consider how habits and conditionings are formed from the time we’re born, how our minds are molded so that our thoughts come to be thought for us before we even think them, compounded over many years, it’s a wonder these habits ever die at all. From time to time I still take myself back and reflect on the way I was, how far I’ve come, and how lucky I am that, despite being thrust through the same meat grinder as everyone else, I am here, awakened, becoming more aware.

And it is at times such as in recent days that I am reminded that awareness is not a destination, it’s a journey, and that it is easy to be taken off the path, as remnants of your egoic conditioning distract you from what is. The supposed killing of the already dead Osama bin Laden this week, with all that this signifies, on so many levels, was a difficult event to ignore no matter how conscious you are.

Of course, Osama bin Laden is a CIA creation, once a CIA asset given the codename Tim Osman. We know that Bill Clinton, while president, was offered Bin Laden on a silver platter by Sudan, where Bin Laden resided at the time, and he turned the offer down. We know that, in July of 2001, just weeks before the 9-11 attacks, he spent nearly two weeks in an American hospital in Dubai, and was visited by his CIA handlers. We know that, during the assault on Tora Bora, the compound was only surrounded on three sides, allowing him and his aids to escape to Pakistan. We know that top al Qaeda and Taliban officials were airlifted by our military into Pakistan - the so-called airlift of evil. We know that, since December 2001, when he was first reported dead by Fox News, the very rare occasions where we actually saw Bin Laden on video were obvious imposters. We are to believe that this highly wealthy man lived in a Pakistan mansion (for SIX YEARS) where he met his supposed demise, yet could only find the means to release audio tapes, which we were never privy to but the CIA assured us was Bin Laden. And we know that, for all our celebrating of the death of the supposed mastermind of 9-11, which we know was a false flag black-op carried out by criminal elements of the United States and Israeli governments, 9-11 is not even listed as among his crimes on his FBI most-wanted website, per lack of evidence he was involved in the attack, which only his CIA-contrived imposters ever confessed to.

We know all this; the sleeping masses do not. But it’s not for lack of information. It’s not like we have access and they do not. We want to know, they do not. For in their egoic, hive-mind reality, to even consider such issues, which would consequently prompt an investigation, is a grave offense against their sense of patriotism, which is part of who they think they are. “I am an American. I am a patriot. You are anti-American. You hate your country.” The most important thing you can bring to the table is the acceptance that you are powerless to change this, because you are not dealing with an intelligence that responds to reason and logic; you’re fighting the ego, and the ego will wipe the floor with you every time no matter how eloquent and coherent your argument is.

The fake news of Bin Laden’s demise was red meat thrown at us to generate a reaction. For most, this reaction was patriotic fervor. Chest thumping. Relief. For others, it was amusement and disgust that people could be so easily mislead. And for me, this is a habit that has yet to die in me. Upon reflection, I understand this, and I’ve resolved not to further dignify it all by continuing to talk about it. There is little I can do to enlighten people to the deception they willfully subscribe to, and by casting judgment on their own egoic shortfalls, I do nothing but let my own ego off its leash.

The consciousness of the collective is indeed quite insane. We cannot bring about a shift to sanity, to awareness, without first bringing it to ourselves. The individual makes up the collective. If you are not fully conscious, how can you bring consciousness to others – how can you say to your brother there is a splinter in your eye, when there is a log in your own? In the attempt, you unwittingly increase unconsciousness in yourself. And that is what the death of Osama bin Laden was intended to do. In the unawakened, it healed an old wound that was illusory to begin with. And in those who were semi-awake, it caused us to relapse into insanity, wasting our energies on bread and circus while the real issues of the day were forgotten, or lessened in significance. Did Bin Laden’s death obliterate the deficit? Did it erase the national debt? Did it decrease the money supply, lower oil and food prices, bring jobs back to America, put Monsanto out of business, stop water fluoridation, reverse the radiological contamination from Fukushima, etc, etc, etc?

No? Well okay then. Bin Laden is but one illusion in an ocean of illusion. Even if it had not happened, there would still be illusion. Even though the people were becoming restless about the economy, which is a large reason the regime needed this event, though it will do little for them, most people think it’s an ideological struggle and thus something that can be repaired at the voting booth. Meanwhile, their pantries are empty, except maybe for alcohol. In their minds, only kooks and conspiracy theorists prepare for economic collapse, and they will gleefully follow this programming to suffering and death.

But at least we killed Bin Laden.

The Responsibility to be Prepared

Once upon a time in America, perpetual prosperity wasn’t a given. Far from being viewed as the behavior of obsessed, paranoid whackjobs, having essential supplies on hand in case of an emergency was not outside the mainstream; in fact it was viewed as common, everyday practice.

I haven’t been alive long enough, or studied history deeply enough, to fully grasp how and why this went wrong. In a general sense, I can say with certainty that dependence on the State and the grid is engineered by design, because in order to justify an ever-increasing leviathan State, you must conversely make the individual smaller, weaker; degrading the average prole’s capability to sustain his or her self, while of course maintaining the façade that they are in fact totally free, totally self-sufficient because they have a job to earn money to spend at the store. This has lead to the belief that if not for the establishment, you’d be crippled, starving, homeless, dead, or worse.

No amount of reality checks seem sufficient to wake Americans up out of their stupor and motivate them to take life seriously, and take control over their own destinies. Around the world, be it social upheaval in the Middle East, natural disasters in Haiti, Japan, New Zealand, Indonesia, or economic collapse in Greece, Portugal, Ireland, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera, Americans still cling to the belief that those types of things only happen in other countries (already having forgotten hurricane Katrina). Perhaps they believe their favorite reality TV show will feed them if food inflation pushes the cost of food above their capability to pay. Or maybe if their favorite baseball team makes the playoffs, there will still be a roof over their head. Indeed, as long as the average American’s cable TV isn’t yanked away from them, everything is okay™.

Whether this decision is conscious or not, if you have not taken the time to prepare for possible calamity, you have chosen to be a parasite. Despite the fact that you may actually have a job, pay your bills, and, despite drastically rising food prices, put food on the table, these luxuries can be torn away from you at any given moment, with little or no notice at all.

In almost every state, car insurance is mandatory if one is to own and drive a car. Everyone needs health insurance. Many people protect their families by taking a life insurance policy. There are all types of insurance that many Americans own to protect them from the unexpected upheaval – flood, fire, hurricane, earthquake. Almost all of these insure against loss of property. Yet no one finds it necessary to insure their own family against the collapse of the grid, be it from economic or natural stresses. Who will feed their children if driving to the grocery store becomes impossible, or if the shelves become bare (there is no more than three days of food in any grocery store at any given time)? What if a natural disaster occurs, or is imminent, and you have a very short amount of time to “bug out”? Where will you go? How will you provide for your family if you are suddenly forced to leave your home?

In any time, but especially in these calamitous times of economic, social, and natural upheaval, to be unprepared for the worst is akin to driving a car uninsured, running a red light, slamming into another car, and saying, “Sorry, I don’t have any money to pay you for your loss.” Whether conscious or not, you are laying the burden for your and your family’s health and well-being on someone else should disaster strike. Whether it’s the government, that paranoid freak of a relative you once laughed at for storing food and survival essentials, or even your neighbors' food gardens and chicken coups you, in your desperation, were motivated to pillage, someone else has got your back. When disaster strikes, you will play the victim, and it will never occur to you that you once had the power in your hands to save yourself and your family, and you squandered that opportunity by obsessing over trivium and distraction, while scorning people who read the writing on the wall and resolved not to stand in front of an oncoming train.

Despite what we are programmed to believe, preparedness is not paranoia, it is not hysteria, it is not fearmongering. In fact, preparedness is the polar opposite of fear. Anyone in Japan inside the disaster zone (earthquake, tsunami, nuclear meltdown) who prepared for the worst is likely, while not living a posh life of luxury, surviving comfortably with safe, uncontaminated food and water in his or her belly, and some type of roof overhead. There are hundreds of thousands, perhaps millions, many thousands of them dead, who are wishing they had some type of plan B (and C, D, and E) in place to fall back on. Instead they are huddled in shelters, freezing, the shelves empty, the water gone, and their government is very likely lying to them about the seriousness of the nuclear catastrophe; they and their children, if they are lucky to survive, will never be the same.

How quickly Americans have forgotten the lessons of Katrina: those many thousands of people who fled the monster storm but had nowhere to go to (except formaldehyde-infested FEMA trailers), or, worse, those who stayed behind in the suicidal belief that the government would save them, sustain them, and rebuild their lives. In the aftermath, instead of blaming themselves for recklessly leaving themselves exposed to sudden upheaval by being unprepared, these parasites blamed the host organism for falling ill and not providing them with nutritious-enough blood to suck. Worse, many Americans not effected by the disaster recognized this parasitic trait in the hurricane victims, hypocritically disregarding their own lack of self-sufficiency and preparedness were a similar calamity to strike them.

And yet Katrina was not an isolated incident. California is long overdue for a monster quake. The New Madrid fault line once produced a quake so monstrous it caused the Mississippi to reverse and change course and caused chimneys to crumble as far away as Boston. This was at a time when few people lived in the area, but now, with much higher populations, the zone is becoming hyper-active. Yellowstone is a super-volcano that many believe is overdue to erupt; geologists say the caldera is rising. If anywhere near as powerful as its last eruption hundreds of thousands of years ago, it could bury much of the United States in ash several feet deep. These are just the impending natural disasters, which says nothing of unnatural disasters, such as the massive and intentional dollar devaluation and rising prices caused by the Fed’s monetary policies, which, as soon as the dollar loses reserve currency status, will, perhaps as happened in Weimar Germany, have Americans wheel barreling their cash to the store to buy a loaf of bread. America is not immune to the laws of economics, and the signs of this collapse are broadcast, largely ignored, through mainstream media outlets on an almost daily basis.

We don’t expect or plan to purposely crash our car, or die a sudden death, or have our house catch fire or be destroyed in a flash flood. And yet we pour hundreds or even thousands of dollars a year into these insurance policies. It only takes a few hundred dollars to pack your family a bug out bag(s) and a few extra dollars a week to build up your food storage. Prepare for long-term calamity (particularly the economic type) by growing at least some of your own food. And in the (unlikely) event that you never need these items, the food, at least, is edible.

Be conscious of your responsibility for your health and well-being and that of your family, particularly children. The conscious or unconscious belief that other people should be responsible for this is the height of arrogance and ignorance. When disaster strikes, don’t come knockin’ on my door. I won’t be home.

The Deep Breath Before the Plunge

Being right is usually something we take pride in. Which is somewhat ridiculous, and usually only serves the ego. Being wrong is considered a negative, when in reality it’s an opportunity to expand your horizons, to learn and grow from mistakes. For about two years now, with greater urgency and deeper understanding, I’ve warned people of impending economic calamity: rising food and energy prices, dollar devaluation, exploding debt and deficits, all compounding on each other until eventually America becomes a third world banana republic. Normally you don’t want to be right about such dire predictions, and you don't make them recklessly, being that most people, including friends and family, will think you've lost your shit. They're going to anyway, so it's a good idea to make sure you're sure.

I want peace. I want stability. I want my children to have a better life than I did. For myself, given what I’ve sacrificed in this belief – my job of almost 15 years, my home for my entire life, leaving my family behind, my friends – I couldn’t afford to be wrong. For two years I wrung my hands, wondering how I would leave, where I would go, and when. And then what if I were wrong? What if government had found some magic pill for reckless economic policies that they could implement with total impunity, without destroying the dollar and causing suffering and misery, as has happened, when such policies were initiated, 100% of the time in any other country at any other time in history? And what if, by some miracle, the government reversed its policies, eliminated unconstitutional socialist and fascist institutions (starting with the Federal Reserve), removed the red tape that makes it near impossible for jobs and businesses and industry to be created, and forces the industries and jobs we do have to be shipped overseas, and relative economic prosperity returned to America?

In my heart of hearts I knew this was impossible, and day after day, as the deficit compounded, as the debt exploded, as countries announced cutting off the dollar, cutting off our credit; as Obamacare was passed, as the stimulus bills passed again and again, QE (Quantitative Easing), QE2, and now announcing QE3 if oil prices continue to rise – which they will, if for no other reason than the fact that rising oil prices are at least in part the result of QE2, day after day after day I saw the worst-case scenario being played out. In fact it’s worse than even I can imagine. You grow up in America your whole life under the illusion of prosperity, in the shared hallucination that growth and prosperity are perpetual, your birthright as an American, and you find yourself inflicted with the pathology that anything that hasn’t happened, at least in your lifetime, is somehow impossible.

The most sobering aspect of today’s times is, as bad as things already are, I know we haven’t even begun. Today it was reported that food inflation is running at about 19%. Even if you remove spending for defense and infrastructure, we would still be running a deficit – this has happened a staggering 50 years ahead of projections. Despite empty rhetoric about controlling spending and – laugh out loud – balancing the budget, February set another all-time deficit record at $223B. And that’s probably low-balled, like all their other statistics. With the earthquake/tsunami/nuclear apocalypse in Japan, you can be sure that Japan won’t be much interested in lending us money, while the biggest private holder of US debt, citing impending calamity caused by the Fed purchasing treasuries (QE2), dumped all its treasury bonds. The less investment there is in our debt, the more money the Fed has to print, which of course causes the value of the dollar to decrease, causing prices to rise. This has little impact on the select elite on the receiving end of this newly created cash, but for the rest of us, our cost of living continues to edge higher while, if we’re lucky, our incomes remain the same. And finally, when the dollar loses reserve currency status, demand for it will plummet, leaving us with a astronomical currency surplus, which pretty much means the gates of hell are flung open.

When you take such factors into consideration – and that is just a small sampling of the ingredients in our economic apocalypse stew – not only do dire predictions seem decidedly un-radical, they become easy to predict, like the sunrise, or the tides. At this point, as far as I’m concerned, there is only one singular issue that we should be anxious about: our level of preparedness. Sometimes I find myself succumbing to fear as I watch the daily flood of vindicating news and statistics telling me I’ve been right about all of this, because knowing that life as we know it is coming to an end can be overwhelming. I have to remind myself that, if the hammer dropped tomorrow; if the shelves were emptied by the third day, as there is never more than 3 days worth of food on the shelves of any grocery store; if the price of gas became, hypothetically, $10 per gallon; if my paper currency became utterly worthless for anything other than kindling; I can survive. The luxury would be at an end – the internet, the movies, the takeout food – but I have reasonable access to the things I need should they be cut off externally. The only question for you is, can you say the same? For too many people, it doesn’t matter how bad the situation is so long as they can turn on their TV and avert their attention from reality. Once they realize they can’t eat their favorite TV show, that the number of wins their favorite baseball team records won’t put gas in their tank, or that Lindsey Lohan’s cocaine problem has nothing to do with how warm their home is in the winter, maybe then they will start to care. But by then it will already be too late, and then you will see things you never thought possible in America. Things you only see on TV, from other countries, countries you thought these things only happened in because of their lack of civilization, their barbarous culture. And they’ll lie to themselves, pretending they never saw it coming. Don’t be among them.

The Colossal Misunderstanding of Our Time

If enough time has passed since your ingestion of the proverbial red pill, you’ve probably had your fill of people calling you crazy or laughing at you for talking about truths you find to be obvious and incontrovertible. What is our responsibility towards these people? What is the proper approach to waking them up?

I’m not entirely certain it’s possible – or if it is, it’s rare – to sit down with someone, show them a limited scope of an unimaginably wide conspiracy, and produce an earth-shattering revelation on the spot. I can’t even remember what exactly it was that woke me up, likely because it wasn’t any one factor, or even a series of factors I absorbed over a short period of time. The closest explanation I can give for how I awakened is, sometimes the bullshit collapses under its own weight. For most people, awakening is about seeds that, over the years, were planted in their mind. If these seeds are cultivated properly, one day they will come to fruition.

The colossal misunderstanding of our time is the assumption that insight will work with people who are unmotivated to change. Communication does not depend on syntax, or eloquence, or rhetoric, or articulation but on the emotional context in which the message is being heard. People can only heard you when they are moving toward you, and they are not likely to when your words are pursuing them. – Edwin H Friedman

How do we plant viable seeds of truth in people’s minds, seeds that will grow and one day produce a revelation? If the soil we plant the seed in is acidic, it will not germinate. It is already likely that anyone still plugged in, who you are trying to show the rabbit hole to, will think you’re crazy, no matter how sober and articulate your presentation is. If you thrust the “truth” in their face and demand they see it, and degrade their intelligence if they’re at present incapable, you have planted the seed in poison soil.

The difficult truths of our time often involve damaging people’s ego sensibilities, instilled in them from a very young age; sensibilities like patriotism, faith, exceptionalism, triumphalism, and the deification of authority. The harder you attack these ego foundations, the more the unconscious individual’s ego will defend itself against you, and any truth will be lost within the maelstrom of anger and disgust you’ve engendered within them.

In the end, not only is it impossible – or highly unlikely – that your efforts alone will cause a spontaneous awakening, it is not your responsibility, and the effort put forth is likely little more than your own ego asserting its authority and dominance over the ignorant and the brainwashed; the sheeple. After all, if the truth were that obvious, everyone would see it and peace would reign on Earth forever.

It is almost never a problem with disseminating information; this is an information age. The truth is available for anyone who wishes to attain it. Obviously there is something else inhibiting people from seeking truth, and this is often an aspect of human psychology you are powerless against. If the ultimate goal is to awaken us all, to become more conscious, then your own ego is an obstacle not only to other people but to yourself as well, and you must come to grips with your own ego before you can concern yourself with enlightening anyone else.

When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love has always won. There have been tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they can seem invincible, but in the end they always fall. Think of it. Always. – Mohandas Gandhi

Let us have faith in the truth, which, as the Buddha taught us, like the sun and the moon, cannot stay hidden forever. Suppress your own ego’s need to dominate or feel superior to others, and focus on your own awakening. When the student is ready, the master will appear; for some, you may be the master they seek in helping them become aware. But remember, as Osho has taught, the true master creates masters, not followers.

Knowing

Everyone has a story. Everyone has inside knowledge. Everyone thinks they know something that you don’t, and it is your moral and intellectual obligation to listen to them. You’re being torn in all directions by the tidal forces of intellectual do-good-ism on a daily basis.

When you consider the truth, what is it that others have that you do not? An education? What good is an education nowadays anyway, establishment education being little more than an arm of the scientific dictatorship? Too often we worship authority, and become dazzled by credentials which, if you really stop and think about it, mean nothing, unless you have unwavering faith and confidence in the source of their credentials, their knowledge. If you wish to put faith in these institutions, and proxy your common sense to those you think are better or more qualified than you, that’s on you; be it a degree from Oxford, the local community college, or no degree at all, none of it makes you more qualified than I to determine truth.

Peoples beliefs and conviction are, in almost every case, gotten at second hand and without examination, from authorities who have not themselves examined the questions at issue, but have taken them at second hand from other non examiners, whose opinions about them were not worth a brass farthing to begin with. – Mark Twain

No matter how many years one goes to school, the initiates are, just as you, a slave to those who told them what was true, and few of the initiates ever bother to question the credibility or motives of those who taught them or the veracity of the information they were taught. Your doctor will tell you how to keep yourself healthy, likely confident in his qualifications, having attended years of medical school believing he was being taught the cutting edge in health and healing technology and procedures. But who taught him these things, and who decided they were the end all, be all? How do you know he’s not promoting an agenda for other people, unbeknownst to him? If you believe anthropogenic global warming is an absolute fraud, how do you know vaccines aren’t a massive scam as well? Both groups promoting each are scientists. Is the white coat infallible? If not, how can you ever know what to believe?

Whatever this so-called truth movement is, there are myriad denominations within it insisting they’ve reached the bottom of the rabbit hole. They’re going to take you there, and if you follow or subscribe to anyone else and “their” theories, you’re being led astray. For myself, I remember beginning my journey towards awareness and consciousness, and becoming highly disheartened by the seemingly endless layers of the matrix that you had to find your way through, never knowing if you were learning the truth or being led astray by COINTELPRO or disinformation. There’s nothing more terrifying for the amateur truth seeker than the term controlled opposition. It is literally impossible to find a popular commentator, radio personality, alternative journalist, or documentary maker that hasn’t been “de-bunked” as controlled opposition of the New World Order. From Alex Jones ("Zionist agent") to Peter Joseph to David Icke, and everyone in between, all are accused of being agents of the Illuminati. If you degrade your critical thinking so that other people are thinking for you, your head quickly begins to spin, as you come to the realization that nothing is what it seems.

Sooner or later, hopefully, you remember: you’re an intelligent human being. Your mind has great power of perception and awareness, if you know how to apply it. And you begin to sift through the endless stream of information knowing that all you can do is have faith in yourself, and take what you feel makes sense and put the rest aside.

In this so-called truth movement, there is no one issue that embodies this more than the subject of religion and spirituality. Journeying into the spiritual is a highly personal experience, and no one can tell you what is true, what is real, or what is correct. I used to think it was my responsibility and right to point out the absurdity of organized religion to other people, not so much knowing what was real as I knew what was not real. But in the end, for most people, you are dealing with an aspect of their beliefs that is deeply ingrained in their egos, and thus any perceived attack on it will cause them to circle the wagons around it and recklessly and irrationally defend it, in spite of all so-called evidence. Once you understand this, you realize that not only are you incapable of changing people who are not willing or ready to change, but it’s not your responsibility anyway.

So is the new age religion (which isn’t new at all) a New World Order ploy to demolish organized religion and lead people on the path of Satan and away from faith in God? That is for the individual to decide. Those of this persuasion have convinced themselves that because “new age” pagan beliefs are, it is alleged, the beliefs of the global power elite, who we oppose, then A> these beliefs are vicariously evil and B> anyone promoting these beliefs is either an agent of the New World Order or a useful idiot. Conversely, many who believe organized religion is a scam accuse the faithful of the same. People must apply logic and intelligence to the equation, and ask themselves, does a belief become evil simply by association? It goes without saying that evil people are still capable of holding true beliefs, just as good people are capable of doing or believing in evil. Does it ever occur to those who defend religion against “new” age beliefs that the elite adhere to these because they are true, and play you off against themselves to create the idea that what they believe is evil and must be opposed (or, at least, disbelieved)? If you learn the truth behind real astrology – the gravitational and electromagnetic forces and resonant frequencies of celestial bodies and their effects on reality – you have to wonder why it is dismissed as a pseudo-science, and presented to the plebs as a ridiculous and easily deconstructed caricature of the actual science. And yet, as JP Morgan once said, millionaires don’t follow astrology; billionaires do. Was JP Morgan an eccentric who also happened to be one of the wealthiest men of his day, or did he know a secret people like him guarded because it gave them an advantage over the rest of us? That is, of course, for the individual to decide.

If you understand that there is disinformation out there, and controlled opposition, you have to be willing to question whether these tactics are being used to reinforce what you believe, just as much as you question if it’s being used to lead others astray. Like anthropogenic global warming, vaccines, or pharmaceuticals, etc, in all issues, including religion, we must ask: how do I know what I think I know; who told me, and why should I believe them? Do you really think God would be angry with you for exercising the free thought He supposedly endowed you with? How could He punish you for coming to a conclusion other than what you are told you must believe or be punished for it, if you used your best judgment and the, frankly, scarce information to base your conclusions on, as well as endless disinformation, politics, and misinterpretations? This is not a deconstruction of what people think; merely how people think.

What is real? What is truth? Can you really know for certain, confined to this reality, with only your meager five senses to guide you through it all? Throughout the aeons, the wise have always known that there is but one universal truth: the more you know, the more you know nothing, because anything you learn often replaces an earlier “truth”, yet is liable itself to be disproven at any time. If history is any indicator, everything you think you know will be proven untrue at some point in time. That’s not to say you have no grasp on reality and are in essence insane. It just means, do not be proud. Tame your arrogance. You’ll never know enough to consider yourself qualified to tell others what’s real, or what to think.

Socrates did not believe that any man could be taught inasmuch as all men contain within themselves a divine wisdom which cannot be increased. Education therefore, as the word itself originally inferred, is a process by which wisdom is drawn out of man. – Manly P Hall

Of course I have my opinions on almost anything that you encounter on your way down the rabbit hole. I never know exactly what is, but I often have a relatively grounded grasp on what isn’t. But these judgments are for me, and for anyone who asks my counsel. I still have an ego that I’m wrestling with, so you will from time to time find me pretending I know what’s going on, but by and large this is my outlook on life. If I may offer some unsolicited advice, be less judgmental towards others in their beliefs, no matter how absurd you may think they are. Let us focus more on how we think, and less on what we think. And remember: no matter how far we tumble down the rabbit hole, we will never reach the bottom.

And there is nothing wrong with that.

Food crisis imminent: get prepared

Unless you've been living under a rock for the past couple of years, you've been to the grocery store and you've seen with your own eyes the effects of inflation. We all know the dollar is being destroyed, and as it loses its reserve currency status and the demand for dollars plummets, regular people like you and I are going to feel the effects, hard core. This has only begun. I believe the time is not far off when food prices will escalate beyond most people's capability to afford it. Hard choices will have to be made: do I default on my mortgage or do I feed my family?

There are two essential avenues we can take to avoid a food crisis. One, we can buy seeds to grow our own food, and two, we can store food now while the dollar still has some relative value. I've joined up with eFoods Global, a marketing arm of eFoods direct, to help people store cost-efficient, space efficient, healthy and delicious storable food. If you've listened to the Alex Jones podcast, you've heard Alex rave about their products, and he's not exaggerating. Everything I've tried from eFoods is easy to prepare and absolutely delicious. The best part is, it's non-GMO and MSG free. In other words, it's food.

Click the banner below, and click the "try it" icon to order your 6 meal sample. As an eFoods Global dealer, you can encourage your friends and family to store up food for themselves, and earn free storable food for yourself in the process.

Those of us in the know realize hard times are ahead for us all. But they're only hard if we don't prepare. Most people don't know they should prepare, or if they do they don't know how. Learned helplessness is rampant in our society. Let's get out and empower people to take control of their lives while they still have time. As Alex says, in the fight for freedom, food is your biggest weapon. The government wants you dependent on them, so you'll bow to their demands. Not me. Not you. Let's get going.

Steve

You're at the right address

I just changed the name. Hope you don't mind. Thanks for visiting.

Welcome to Costco, I love you

by Steve Curtin

The great writer and teacher Vernon Howard once said, “Human sickness is so severe that few can bare to look at it, but those who do will become well.” I often wonder, as I wander through a crowd of half-retarded, diseased people, if this sickness is something most people repress in their minds, or if they themselves are so aloof, so accustomed to it, they don’t even notice it. For me, it’s not just something I’m reminded of from time to time; it’s something that, perhaps because of my current environment, I find impossible to ignore. It is all around me.

Perhaps what Howard meant when he said that by observing the sickness one becomes well is that you see the causes of this sickness in the way others live their lives, and you endeavor to be alive, to be awake, to be well by not mimicking the behavior. If that’s so, then it is something I connect with on a very deep level.

Perhaps Jiddu Krishnamurti meant something similar when he said, “It is no measure of health to be well-adjusted to a profoundly sick society.” There is no doubt that this society is profoundly sick, and it is not a society I want to be well adjusted to. Most people, unable or unwilling to see the sickness, would find one’s desire to disconnect from society to be a form of mental illness, but for me it is the only way I can ever become well.

Of course there are many who have disconnected from society and were, perhaps coincidentally or perhaps not, a few cards short of a deck. Ted Kaczynski comes to mind, although few know he was a product of a CIA mind control experiment known as MKUltra. I digress. Were they crazy because they were truly crazy, or crazy simply because they broke away from the hive and refused to conform?

But the sickness is all around me. As I walk down the hallway at my job; as I go to the supermarket; as I watch TV. I walk by people who are morbidly obese, often so obese they’re using scooters to cart themselves around, or using a cane to walk, carrying around obtrusive cellulite that can only be described as unnatural looking. They carry their lungs around with them in oxygen tanks. Even if they’re not heinously fat, almost everyone has a look of emptiness in their eyes, their mouths hanging open; awake physically but mentally, spiritually, completely unconscious. Welcome to Costco, I love you. On the off chance that I’m actually watching TV – on a break at work, or at a relative’s house (I disconnected my cable) – the advertisements are so utterly idiotic, I feel myself dumber by watching them. The message almost never is, this is why you should buy this product. The message is, it’s awesome to be retarded. You relate this this retardedness, and so you want to buy their product. If there's more to it than that, I don't get it.

I feel in no way superior to these people. I understand that they are victims of a very effective, coordinated, and sophisticated social engineering program, where they are slowly chemically lobotomized from the time they are born, given a worthless education where subservience and obedience and hive mentality is indoctrinated into them, taught to worship celebrity, and revel in ignorance, distraction, and trivium. I understand the psychology behind this, that their ego identities have been very carefully crafted, so that anyone who thinks differently than them are severely ostracized, and anyone who tries to point all of this out to them, no matter how thoroughly and elegantly, is laughed at and ridiculed, their egos only empowered by their sense of superiority over the kooks and the conspiracy theorists and the America haters, now commonly referred to as domestic terrorists.

I’ve now come to the point where I understand what Gandhi meant when he said, “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” It’s similar to what Jesus meant when he said, “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?” Yes, society is sick. Yes, people are diseased. Yes, they deserve to be healthy, alive, and free. But who can provide this for them if not themselves? I think the people, whether they believe this or not, have had enough of other people living their own lives for them. And besides, as H.L. Mencken said, “The urge to save humanity is almost always a false front for the urge to rule.” Isn’t this what has brought us to this sorry state in the first place? People wishing to rule others; others demanding that someone rule them, save them. And do you truly wish to save them, or is it an unconscious desire to make yourself feel superior by demonstrating how much more you know than they do?

Further, we in the truth movement (whatever that is) are fond of insisting that people see what is apparently so very obvious and hidden in plain sight; but if this is so, why do those we think are asleep need anyone to point it out to them? And who appointed you the representative for all that is true and just? Sure, people deserve truth. They deserve freedom. They deserve life. All sentient beings do. I don’t mean to inundate this treatise with quotes from other people, but, said Voltaire, “It is hard to free fools from the chains they revere.” And that is the genius of this scientific dictatorship: the elite have devised a system where not only do the slaves willingly install their own yokes, but they love being slaves; they defend their slavery like a wounded mother bear.

It is difficult to arrive at the conclusion that fighting the system involves a certain level of enslavement to it. How can fighting for freedom paradoxically involve making you a slave? You are taught that fighting tyranny is your heritage, your American lifeblood. But the elite have co-opted our republic and slowly replaced it with a system that, while appearing to be the same, is actually cleverly designed to make the people think they still have the power, the control, and the choice, whereas only the illusion of choice exists. The more you fight, the more inured you become within the system, because the people in power do not hold public office. You cannot elect new leaders who will better represent you. You only elect the puppets for the ones with the real control: the banksters who literally own the global money supply. Those of us in the know understand that every dollar in existence is debt; you may be holding it, you may think you’ve earned it, but it is owed to the institution that created it and loaned it out at interest. People know this, particularly those in the End the Fed movement, and yet they somehow feel that it is possible to annihilate their oligarchy by voting the right people in, who will inevitably become a servant of the printing press, or be destroyed, even murdered.

If you wish to continue participating in this slave farm, that of course is your right. As obvious as I personally think this criminal matrix is, I again must ask myself: if it’s that obvious, why don’t more people see it? How can I make someone see something that should be as clear as the sun or the full moon in the sky? Indeed I cannot. The more I demand they do, the more hardened their ego becomes; the less likely they will be willing to see, and the more my own ego will become dominant, as I develop a false sense of superiority over other “less enlightened” people. As Jeremiah says, they have eyes but do not see. Read: do not see, not can not see. And so, understanding Gandhi, understanding Jesus, I take my life, and my life alone, into my own hands, and I walk. I do not know where I will end up. All I know is, it will be someplace far from the sight of human sickness, or at least someplace where involvement in this profoundly sick society is kept to a minimum. This is not out of hatred, or disgust, but simply for my own personal peace of mind and wellness. I would do more for others if I could, but the horse, though led to the water, is not obliged to drink it.

I would give the same advice to you, without demanding you heed, without questioning your sense if you do not. Your life is the only life you have any control over, and you are the only one who has any real control over your life. Even if your urge to save humanity isn’t a false front for the urge to control people, it not only strengthens the ego of those you think you are trying to save, attempting to shatter a paradigm they’ve been comfortable in, indeed addicted to, their entire lives, but the false sense of superiority you inevitably feel by “knowing better” than they do will only strengthen your own ego as well, and the ego is the antithesis of consciousness. I wish to cultivate my true nature, to nourish consciousness, and thus diminish suffering and evil in the world. May all of us, as individuals, become conscious, and experience the peace, freedom, and tranquility that inevitably come with it. Then, as individuals, we will realize that we are not really individuals, not separate, but are One.
