This is a lengthy but informative read. Please read all of it.Bill Sardi -Wired.com, that Conde Nast online publication that caters to techy people, has published a wave of articles critical of those who oppose massive over-vaccination of the American population.
These articles declare those individuals who oppose mass vaccination to be "misinformants." Celebrities like Jenny McCarthy, Jim Carrey, Don Imus and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who openly oppose submission to mass vaccination, are belittled. These articles claim those who don’t get vaccinated are endangering everybody else.

These wired.com articles are written by skilled writers and they make strong though narrow arguments. The second title, "How to win an argument about vaccines" suggests those who oppose vaccination are irrational and ill informed and their thinking needs to be changed by those of superior intelligence.
The war is not vaccines versus alternatives, but is characterized as science versus pseudoscience. The authors of the wired.com reports haven’t the brainpower or critical thinking to question the twelve published studies that conclude vaccines don’t cause autism. What matters is that their god of science has been challenged. And there may be nothing wrong with those studies, it’s just that the vaccine proponents aren’t looking outside the box, about questions that aren’t being asked but should be.
Here is how reporter Amy Wallace poses the battle:
"And finally, the so called ‘bogus’ treatments for autism don’t exist in opposition to scientific treatments, they exist because of an absence of scientific treatments. There is no cure and as of yet, no known cause for autism. The medical community is still working out how to even test kids for autism. How can you possibly fault a parent for being fearful and wanting to help their child and using whatever method is available to them. Every disease has gone through this phase, before cancer had a clear cut medical approach to treatment people tried all sorts of treatments that we now consider scientifically unsound."
Of course there are no cures for cancer either. Cancer treatment results in a faster demise of the patient. So the example provided here is flawed.
Recognize that vaccines, antibiotics and anti-flu drugs are driving humanity towards a box canyon. Eventually there will be no antibiotics, vaccines or man-made drugs that germs haven’t developed resistance towards. Follow these vaccine pied pipers and there will be a day when billions of people die of needless plagues because of over-reliance upon vaccines.
When that day comes, humanity will be using remedies that are now being ridiculed by the proponents of vaccines – vitamin D, vitamin C, the trace mineral selenium and extracts from oregano (carvacrol), garlic (allicin) and grape skins (resveratrol, quercetin) to quell future epidemics without treatment resistance.
Amy Wallace recounts here experience at an anti-vaccine conference:
"To a one, the speakers told parents not to despair. Vitamin D would help, said one doctor and supplement salesman who projected the equation "No vaccines + more vitamin d = no autism" onto a huge screen during his presentation. (If only it were that simple.) Others talked of the powers of enzymes, enemas, infrared saunas, glutathione drips, chelation therapy…"
Yes, we who oppose unquestioned vaccination want good scientific underpinnings behind treatments for infectious disease too. It just depends upon what science you are reading.
How about "Vitamin effects on the immune system: vitamins A and D take centre stage," recently published in the journal Nature Review Immunology (Sept 2008 8(9):685–98), written by researchers at Harvard Medical School.
Vaccine inventor Paul Offit calls advocates for these natural remedies "autisms false prophets," and wrote a book with the same title. He says any remedies that currently exist are promoted by a dangerous "cottage industry of false hope."
What’s in the closet?
Modern medicine wouldn’t be hiding any of its vaccine mistakes in the closet, would it? Uh, think again, a vaccination program in 1993 was so lethal that it set back the life expectancy of Americans for the first time since the 1918 Spanish flu, but it was completely white-washed – never even reported. As you read my rebuttal to the vaccine cartel here, you should not be intimidated by scientists or doctors who claim to know more than you do. I’m going to take you on a short course to examine some recent research studies for yourself. You can click on the links to read the abstracts of these studies.
Researchers at the University of Minnesota note that prenatal viral infection is associated with the development of schizophrenia and autism. These researchers took laboratory mice and exposed them to flu viruses in the womb and found that this produced a gene expression pattern consistent with what is seen in autism. [Schizophrenia Research 2009 Jul; 112(1–3):46–53.]
In 2005 the same researchers showed, for the first time, that prenatal flu virus infection in early pregnancy leads to "alterations in a subset of genes in brains of offspring potentially leading to permanent changes in brain structure and function." [Synapse. 2005 Aug; 57(2):91–9.]
Here is what the mouse brain looks like after it has been exposed to the flu virus in the womb. The brains of flu-infected mice are shrinking (atrophy – red and yellow).

From the same study, examine the tremendous difference in brain chemicals (called neurotransmitters) between flu-infected and uninfected laboratory mice. [Schizophrenia Research 2008 Feb; 99(1–3):56–70.]

This science is being inappropriately used to target pregnant women for early flu vaccination. I wrote these researchers, saying their studies are a tacit admission that vaccines could potentially induce brain disorders in the womb since the vaccines ARE the virus, or at least less active forms of the flu virus (the nasally-instilled flu vaccine IS the "live" virus). Show the public the gene expression patterns in fetal mice exposed to the flu vaccine. This is an experiment they don’t conduct.
The modern-day puzzle of disease
Few investigators put together pieces of the modern puzzle to notice that the upsurge of autism occurred concurrently with an increase in rates of vaccination and a rise in antibiotic resistance as well as greater number of children suffering from asthma, diabetes, gluten intolerance and celiac disease as well as autism. These were largely unheard of decades ago.
Recognition of the germ theory of disease is growing. Cancer, diabetes, heart disease and age-related brain disease have all been linked to bacteria and viruses.
The origin of autism
After a review of the scientific literature, I maintain autism is a brain infection. These other diseases, childhood diabetes, asthma, etc., also have links to germs.

The Hidden Epidemic explains the history of autism is rooted in childhood schizophrenia, which is what autism was called in an earlier era. There is unequivocal data to show cases of schizophrenia are caused by infection. So why not autism?
Now here is the scientific world reporting more and more young children are becoming mentally withdrawn and unstable, yet the scientists haven’t a clue what is causing this phenomenon. But they are sure it isn’t vaccines. Vaccines subject children to a little bit of disease, often before they have a fully developed immune system and blood-brain barrier.
Smug and arrogant scientific dogma
So be good boys and girls and don’t question the scientific elitists who tell you what is good for your children and what isn’t. You are all like dumb uneducated people living in huts in some backward country. What could you possibly know anyway?
Wired.com reporter Wallace says "the doubters and deniers are empowered by the Internet (online, nobody knows you’re not a doctor) and helped by the mainstream media, which has an interest in pumping up bad science to create a "debate" where there should be none." Shall we let Wallace do all the thinking for us?
After all, those who don’t vaccinate their kids endanger all the rest of us, that is if you buy into what Amy Wallace says in her column entitled: "How Panicked Parents Skipping Shots Endangers Us All."
Even researchers at the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta concede that "effectiveness of currently licensed vaccines in the United States is about 30–50% in preventing complications arising from influenza and preventing death from all causes during winter months in older adults." [Current Topics Microbiology Immunology 2009;333:413–29]
If humanity totally relies upon ineffective vaccines, we are doomed to be vulnerable to every plague that passes by.
What IS endangering us all is treatment for the flu. Flawed treatment appears to have caused most of the flu-related death over the past decades since the Spanish flu of 1918. In fact, it appears more flu deaths result from treatment than the disease itself. See here.
The context of Wallace’s column is the growing number of parents who aren’t submitting their children for flu vaccination this season. What Wallace fails to examine is that there is no strong evidence to show that vaccines prevent flu-related death.
Yes, vaccines have saved lives, but the technology is archaic. It is 1798 cow pox know-how, first implemented by Dr. Edward Jenner. It has seen its day. Many of the vaccines wouldn’t even be needed if the world had clean water, public hygiene, clean foods and better nutrition. Immunity is weak in the malnourished. Vaccines aren’t an appropriate answer to this problem.
We enter a new era – that of mobilizing the human immune system against disease. Undernutrition or malnutrition adversely affects defenses against many invading microorganisms, which increases the severity of infection. Studies have shown that selenium or vitamin E deficiency in mice increases disease severity when animals are infected with influenza virus. [Clinical Infectious Diseases 2007 Aug 15;45(4):470–4] Nutritional status has been called "the neglected virulence factor." [Trends Microbiology 2004 Sep;12(9):417–23] Why are we trying to rescue people from the doorstep of death with vaccines before we correct underlying nutritional imbalances?
Blocking communicable disease
Where are all these communicable diseases coming from that require a plethora of vaccines? America needs to practice preventive medicine by screening entrants into the country. Whooping cough, hepatitis and tuberculosis travel over the border in large numbers every day and there is no public health screening program, not even in schools or food establishments where immigrant children and workers abound. We are allowing disease to be spread to create a larger market for the vaccines.
We permit unclean foods to reach the market, contaminated with runoff of animal feces that harbor E. coli, Salmonella, etc., and we permit 2.5% of milk cartons to reach the store shelf that harbor paratuberculosis. Then we try to block these infections with vaccines. It’s insane.
Recognize, Japan doesn’t accept American food products because health authorities there know the American food chain is contaminated with Campylobacter (chicken), Salmonella (chicken, cheese), E. Coli (red meat) and paratuberculosis (milk).
Between unscreened immigrants who enter the country harboring infectious disease and unclean food that is ubiquitous in the food chain, America has become a cooking pot for communicable disease. Vaccines have become the cure all.
Flawed thinking: Infectious disease is a vaccine deficiency
The idea of a vaccine for every communicable disease is not something the human body was designed to withstand. When we subject children to the MMR vaccine (measles, mumps, Rubella) we give them a little bit of three diseases, or at least the immune response to three diseases, all at once. Pediarix is a new 5-in-one combination vaccine for diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, hepatitis B and polio. Seasonal flu shots subject a person to three strains of the flu all at one time.
By the way, since when does staying healthy require a sacrifice at the temple of modern medicine? People living in many rural areas and backwards countries live longer and healthier, with very low rates of cancer and autism, without doctoring. Is health maintenance beyond the intellect of the average American? Are we allowed to stay healthy without vaccination and drugs? Or this no longer permitted?
The scary part of vaccine-inventor Offit’s rationale for mass vaccination is that he actually believes in medical fascism. Here is how Offit says it:
"We have seat belt rules," he says. "Seat belts save lives. There was never a question about that. The data was absolutely clear. But people didn’t use them until they were required to use them. Unless you fly through the window and hit somebody else," he adds. "I believe in mandates. I do."
There you have it, with a few million bucks for Offit to pocket to boot. Line your children up now and submit them be inoculated with 48 doses of 14 different vaccines before the age of 6. Never mind to question any of this. You are too ill-informed to even ask intelligent questions. Just do what you are told.
Not to worry. Forced vaccination is politically unpalatable. They will think of lacing the vaccines in your Kool Aid. Edible vaccines are actually under development. [Advanced Drug Delivery Review 2006 Apr 20; 58(1):68–89]
