$25 Million per mile

Did anyone actually think states who accepted stimulus money were going to do anything with it other than throw a massive spending party for their friends and favorites? It kind of reminds me of the AIG bonuses our government feigned outrage over. A company is in total ruin, you throw $180 BILLION at it, and you're outraged they spent a minuscule amount of it to further enrich themselves? Among California's list of infrastructure projects spurred by federal "stimulus" money is a plan to spend $75 million to repave three miles of rough pavement on Interstate 710 in Los Angeles. Nothing wasteful there.
