Homeland chief: Domestic extremism is top concern

While we're wasting trillions fighting an enemy that doesn't exist overseas, while refusing to police our borders, Napolitano has declared that the number one enemy of America is you. You cannot afford to be fooled by the rhetoric when the Defense Department leaked Homeland Security documents and the MIAC Report have defined "domestic extremism" or terrorism as anything from such First Amendment-protected activities as protesting to demanding the 2nd Amendment be preserved and upheld to supporting third parties. The Founding Fathers were terrorists. And you are a terrorist, because you oppose this fascist government. You are the terrorist because you refuse to let them disarm you. You are the terrorist because you oppose our vicious, imperialistic foreign policy. You oppose the torture. The indefinite detentions. Suspension of Habeas Corpus. The Patriot Act. All of it. You're not a Patriot. No! Blind loyalty to the State is patriotism. You're a terrorist.

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano says terrorists who are U.S. citizens or live in the country legally and plot against the U.S. are just as big of a concern as international terrorists.

She says that when she started as secretary a year ago, the focus was largely on international terrorists who want to harm U.S. interests. But in the past year, more of the violent extremism that has been seen overseas is showing up in the U.S.

She says officials need to drill down and analyze the factors that make a young person, raised in the U.S., migrate to extremist beliefs and actions.

Napolitano was speaking to governors who are in Washington for their annual conference.
