- Palin is campaigning in Texas for Rick “Gardasil” Perry. Most of her talk is boring Republican boilerplate. But catch this YouTube, about 20 seconds in, where she mentions Texas seceding from the union, in order to deny it, and is thrown off her pace by the huge cheers. And this is from a Republican crowd. Chris Matthews tried to blame her for the popular reaction, but she gets no credit.
Incidentally, if you're a so-called liberty candidate but you're stumping for Rick Perry, what you really are is nothing but a statist neocon establishment hack cut from the same cloth as Bush and McCain and yes, Obama. It stupefies me that this imbecile is still so popular. But then again, haven't we seen this for at least the last 9 years...
- As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron. - H.L. Mencken 1880 - 1956

ReplyDeleteAgreed. Palin is a joke. The Media-Corporate-Republican-Democrat Establishment is pushing her as a "leader"/"frontrunner" because she is just a puppet/stooge.
But maybe she really isn't that popular, and much of it is media hype and bogus "polls" to give the illusion of her popularity.
Even if the Republican Establishment subverts and attempts to co-opt the Tea Party Movement, it's not going to work because the Tea Party Movement is essentially anti-Establishment.
The Tea Party people will just abandon the co-opted movement and form another under a new name.
Can you cite this quote by Lew Rothman? I can't find it. Though I 'betcha' he isn't a Palin fan, what he has said about her hasn't been all that vitriolic, at least nothing I've read that he's written on his web site.
ReplyDeleteI apologize...I forgot to link to his blog post. It's been edited.
