Economic apocalypse? What economic apocalypse? Jersey Shore is on!

I try to feel empathy towards these people. I really do. But I confess it is extraordinarily difficult.

I posted the Jersey Shore release from MTV earlier and noted that it didn’t quite set viewing records. The wisdom of the crowds didn’t quite pan out as a late surge in polling predicted a record high with adults 18-49, and it wasn’t really close, but was indeed still in “beast mode” with a 4.3 adults 18-49 rating. The 1.8 adults 18-49 rating for the 11pm ‘Shore’ repeat topped everything else on cable, and most broadcast shows Thursday night.
